Though I have been temping off and on on fairly long contracts, to the Jobcentre, this means nothing, ‘I have not got a permanent job’. This is not my fault as the employer ran out of money for me, but the Jobcentre system makes it look like it is my fault! This just shows you how out of touch the system is, people at the top don’t recognise temping as job itself. Actors do this all the time. Temping helps businesses too.
So now this means two years is up and I am off the Work Programme…… and now the real hell begins – I expect.
